The Tower Course_________________________________
Torreon Golf Club, The Tower Course was built on beautiful, rolling country with Ponderosa Pine. There are also some spectacular open meadows and marshlands, the course has all the natural elements needed for a premier, world-class golf course.
Every hole is distinctive as well as memorable. Throughout, the design adapts to the natural environment. Seven different lakes were created along the route of the course, and each green has its own personality. The Tower Course is distinguished by many forced carries for approach shots to the greens.
Hole 8, The Tower Course - Par 5 (593 yards): The longest of the par fives, this double dogleg can be shortened slightly by attempting to carry the first bunker complex on the right. From here the hole plays downhill and to the left and again requires a shot over a series of pot bunkers to cheat the hole of its length.
Hole 15, The Tower Course - Par 3 (181 yards): Even though this is a short par three, there is no margin for error on this hole. The putting surface is a medium size target but is protected by a small pond in front and three sand bunkers surrounding the left side of the green. The less courageous should play to the right side of this hole.
The Cabin Course_________________________________
The 18-hole Cabin Course is a unique golf experience and compliments the sister course. As beautiful and exciting as the Tower, the Cabin Course featurs more elevation changes, this is a classic nine holes out and nine holes back to the Clubhouse course. Cabin Course Featured Holes
Hole 9 The Cabin Course - Par 3 (237 yards): The ninth hole on the Cabin Course is a par 3 measuring 237 yards from the back tee. The hole features a penalizing wash that runs from the front of the tee box down the left side of the hole. The perfect shot is a high draw that avoids the sand bunker and the wash.
Hole 12 The Cabin Course - Par 3 (162 yards): The twelfth hole on the Cabin Course is a deceptive par 3 that measures only 162 yards. The green is framed by water and fronted by a small pot bunker. Take one less club on this downhill par 3 to avoid the water behind the green.
